While the thickness and weight are incomparable to regular jersey, this piece is knitted with the tightest gauge possible on the knitting machine to prevent the fabric from sagging under its own weight. This gives it the substantial feel of a sweatshirt while maintaining appropriate crispness and a clean surface texture, thanks to the carefully controlled gauge (fabric feel).
