It has a shallow shape and slightly longer length details. Thin shoulder padding and wool interlining are used in key areas to adjust the weight and take advantage of the characteristics of the fabric while providing a moderate shape.
We consider this to be a "navy blue" "current" fabric that will become permanent. The fabric is devilish gabardine, commonly known as oni gabardine. The almost woollen worsted yarn with a 2/36 end count is tightly twisted and, as the name Oni suggests, made ultra-high density with a 2/2 weave, resulting in a fabric with a unique spongy feel and reproducibility, as well as beautiful drape.
The pattern is designed to fit the Japanese skeletal structure, and the carefully selected fabrics make it exceptionally comfortable to wear. Other points of interest include the original brass buttons that change over time and the lining that is visible when the sleeves are rolled up.
